The Sports Facilities Authority is introducing public ice-skating sessions in a small area for children under 130 cm tall

In response to growing parental demand and with the aim of enhancing the safety of our youngest visitors, the Cheb Municipal Sports Facilities Administration, which operates the ice rink, is introducing a new measure. This innovation primarily concerns public skating sessions on the small ice rink. Parents and their children should take note, as the small ice rink will now, at certain times, be exclusively designated for children under 130 cm tall accompanied by an adult. This means our youngest skaters will be able to enjoy their time on the ice without the worry of accidental collisions with adult skaters. Trial operation begins on 19 November 2023 at 14:30, when the small rink will be reserved for young skaters for the first time. This special time slot dedicated to children should ensure that every child has ample space and time on the ice to enjoy their skating experience safely and comfortably.

However, you don't need to worry if you are a more experienced skater. At the same time as the opening of a small area for our younger skaters, the main large area will also be opened. So, you experienced skaters can also enjoy your time on the ice without any restrictions. This is a trial period, which will be evaluated after one month. If it turns out that this new approach is beneficial, it may become part of the regular schedule of the Cheb Sports Facilities Management in 2024. Ultimately, the goal of the Cheb Sports Facilities Management is for everyone who comes to skate, regardless of age or experience, to be able to fully enjoy their time on the ice.
