The year 2023 proved to be particularly successful for the Cheb swimming pool. Records and statistics revealed that average monthly attendance increased by almost twelve percent compared to the previous calendar year, a result that exceeded all expectations. Over ten months of operation, the Cheb swimming pool welcomed an impressive 17,759 visitors. This figure is proof that the Cheb swimming pool, despite its age, remains a place for fun, relaxation, and, most importantly, improving visitors' physical fitness. Thanks to this influx of visitors, the pool has become not only a destination for local residents, athletes, and schoolchildren but also for athletes from further afield. For instance, at the turn of August and September, the pool hosted the main part of the summer training for the Prague synchronized swimming club Neptun.
If we look at the statistics in more detail, we can see that, on average, there are 11 visitors in the pool during each hour of public opening. The hours open to the public account for more than 50% of the pool’s total opening hours each month. The remainder of the opening hours is reserved for swimming lessons for school pupils and swimming clubs for both young people and adults.

Most public visitors benefit from advantageous entry thanks to the new Cheb Sports Cardmore about the cardwhich has been on sale since September 2023. A total of 267 cards were issued in the four months of sales. In addition to pool entry, cardholders can also use it for public ice skating at the Cheb ice stadium, for example. Before the introduction of the new card system, 312 season tickets were sold from January 2023 to June 2023.

We hereby thank all pool visitors and look forward to seeing you again in the calendar year 2024.
